Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

Best Friday the 13th EVER!

Mood: Euphoric

well I had a good friday the 13th XD

Started with my brother coming over, and he brought a ring with him that I had inherited awhile ago but had yet to receive, he had had it cleaned and I had a total cinderella moment because it fits absolutely perfectly. My first family heirloom which I find extremely cool...oh and it's got about 20 little diamonds going around it, BONUS XD.

Then on the drive to futureshop he tells me that he and his girlfriend are now engaged. EEEEEEE! This made me tear up like the girlie girl I'm not. (except he hasn't told my dad yet and I have to fight so hard not to just blurt it out at him)

Then we arrive at future shop - they didn't have any ipod classics in stock - so went to another future shop where they only had 1 and it was in the colour I wanted, DIBS! and now I have a new glorious 160GB Black Ipod

Then we went back to his place, I chilled with my sister, we made cookies then watched an episode of Sherlock (I got her into it, muhahaha) and she gave me a loaf of banana bread and cookies to take home, AWESOME!

and when I creamed my head on the trunk car door I kind of just giggled cause I was in such a good mood, or I hit it harder than I thought but w/e

_{(then photoshop started crashing on me when I was trying to draw.....but I think I fixed it now so it's all good, hey, at least one weird thing has to happen on friday the 13th})
